Super Insulation for Zero-Energy Buildings
Critical considerations for a well insulated home
This course covers the fundamentals for designing and building zero energy homes by covering key principles of building science and energy performance. Topics include life safety, healthy home fundamentals, heat loss and gain, insulation performance, air-sealing, and moisture control. You'll also explore how layout and construction choices impact HVAC and plumbing costs, solar gain, durability, and overall functionality.
Class Schedule
January 5th to 19th, Monday evenings from 6 - 8 pm.
This course utilizes a “flipped classroom” so you’ll need to prepare for class by watching a series of pre-recorded videos introducing the material so that the in-class time can be focused on question and answer.
Experience Level & Prerequisites
Students should have basic computer literacy and be comfortable using Zoom and Google Drive platforms.
