Sauna Construction
Techniques for building the interior of a wood-fired sauna
Starting with a pre-built frame, this class focuses on the technical process of finishing the interior of a small, wood-fired sauna. Students will practice construction techniques commonly used in enclosed structures, such as insulation, vapor barriers, and interior cladding, while learning the specific strategies necessary to manage heat, fire, and moisture. By the end, participants will understand how to transform a shell into a durable, functional sauna interior.
