Intro to Wood Carving
Essential Skills for 3D and Relief Carving
Learn the basics of wood carving, including tools to use (knives, chisels, and carving gouges), sharpening, work holding, wood selection, reading the grain, and more.
We’ll cover three-dimensional carving and relief carving as we tackle three separate projects: a spoon, a stylized bird, and a Celtic knot.
