Intro to SketchUp

NOTE: The online session of this course will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-8pm ET for a total of six (6) 3-hour sessions.

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to SketchUp Pro, a powerful, yet easy-to-use, 3D modeling program. Students will start by learning how to navigate 3D space and use essential SketchUp tools.  Then focus will shift to drawing efficiently and accurately, using SketchUp’s inferencing system. Students will also learn how to protect models using groups and components and techniques to move, center and reproduce entities.

Students will apply these newly acquired skills to create a variety of 3D models. These models will be organized using layers and scenes and enhanced using materials and styles.

Students will need to have a device that can support the latest version of SketchUp Pro and a two button mouse with a scroll wheel.
