Earthen Floor Systems
Learn how to mix, pour, and level an earthen floor
This one-week course is a module of our Natural Building Certificate.
We touch floors more than any other surface of our house, so why shouldn't it be a beautiful, healthy surface of daily pleasure? Earthen floors are enjoying a renaissance today, as the oldest floor system has been modernized and improved for contemporary use. Earthen floors are a great way to bring earth into our homes - not only do they capture heat (or cool) increasing the energy efficiency of our homes, they are also a pleasure for our soles. In this course, we will learn how to mix, pour, and level a durable earthen floor.
