Yestermorrow Design/Build School is seeking a qualified Design/Builder as Lead Carpenter for the newly formed Design/Build Group. This will be for 24-40 hours per week, depending on our project schedule, workload, and your wishes.

A qualified applicant will exhibit enthusiasm to design, build, and teach, and will translate their passions to projects, possible teaching opportunities, and to clients. This position depends on the ability to manage both design and build applied skills, manage work on client projects, and oversee apprentices and other carpenters on the job site. Skills required include a deep understanding of technical competencies of the integrated design/build process (schematic design, drafting construction documents, facilitating client meetings, etc.) and working in all stages of construction (including site work, foundations, framing, wall systems, insulation, moisture barriers, HVAC, cabinetry, windows, doors, finishes, etc.). 

This position requires independent work as well as skilled teamwork abilities.

The budgeted pay range for this position is $40- $45 per hour, depending on experience.
