Carpenter – Greenland Bends Design | Build

At Greenland Bends Design | Build, we handle both the design and construction of our projects, creating custom spaces that reflect the unique personalities of our clients. As a small residential design-build company, we focus mainly on remodels and take pride in tailoring each project to meet our clients' specific needs, embracing challenges and diverse projects to craft spaces that truly feel like home.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a reliable, motivated carpenter with at least 2 years of residential construction experience and a strong desire to continue developing their craft. Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to work well in a team are key. If you enjoy working with your hands and tackling both creative and technical challenges, we'd love to hear from you!

You don’t need to be an expert in every trade, but you should have broad residential construction experience, be comfortable working independently on familiar tasks, and be willing to learn when something is outside your current skill set.

A combination of hands-on construction experience and relevant trade education may be considered.

Trade Skills & Experience

Experience should include several of the following:

• Residential framing
• Window and door installation
• Cabinetry installation
• Interior and exterior trim work
• Drywall installation, repair, and finishing
• Flooring and tile installation
• Kitchen and bathroom renovations
• Appliance and hardware installation
• Waterproofing systems
• Basic painting and finish work
• Working knowledge of residential plumbing and electrical systems
• Measuring, estimating, and ordering materials

Responsibilities

• Carpentry & framing – Framing walls, floors, roofs, beamwork, and other structural components.
• Finish carpentry – Installing doors, windows, baseboards, molding, cabinetry, hardware, and other finish details.
• Kitchen & bathroom renovations – Installing cabinetry, waterproofing systems, tubs and shower components, tile, fixtures, and finishes.
• Drywall & painting – Installing and repairing drywall, preparing surfaces, and completing interior painting and finish work.
• Material planning – Measuring, creating material lists, ordering or procuring materials, and helping ensure the right tools and supplies are available when needed.
• Client interaction – Communicating professionally with clients and helping them feel comfortable, informed, and respected throughout their project.
• Subcontractor coordination – Helping ensure subcontractors have the information and site access they need to complete their work efficiently and to a high standard.
• Job-site organization – Maintaining a clean, organized, professional, and safe work environment.
• Demolition & site preparation – Completing demolition and preparing spaces for upcoming phases of construction.
• Material handling – Loading, unloading, moving, and organizing tools and building materials.
• Problem-solving – Working through the unique challenges that come with remodeling and custom residential construction.
• Continued learning – Developing new construction skills and gaining greater exposure to the full design-build process.

What We Offer

✅ Pay: $26–$34 per hour, based on experience and skill level.

✅ Full-Time Employment with a flexible schedule – You'll be working approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility in scheduling to support work-life balance.
