Mobile Off Grid Sauna

Built with a focus on high-performance building science and traditional craft, this mobile sauna was constructed under the direct guidance of two sauna experts. The project prioritized a "health-first" approach to the thermal envelope, utilizing high-quality, breathable materials designed to respond to extreme temperature shifts. By insulating with Timber HP (wood fiber), we created a low-toxic, carbon-sequestering, and vapor-intelligent barrier that eliminates the risk of off-gassing fiberglass or foam during high-heat sessions.

The interior is lined entirely with white cedar and features tiered seating for 6+ people, complemented by custom underbench lighting. A Harvia wood-burning stove powers the experience, offering an authentic off-grid ritual anywhere you park. To ensure stability and long-term mobility, the structure is built on a heavy-duty dual-axle trailer. A full-lite glass door and insulated window provide a seamless connection to the landscape without compromising heat retention or structural efficiency.
