Matt is a mission-driven development professional with three decades of leadership experience in cultural, educational, and nonprofit organizations. His career began in the arts and culture sector, where he worked to advance community engagement, program growth, and strategic fundraising in a variety of vibrant, creative settings.

Currently, he serves as Assistant Dean for Alumni Affairs and Development at Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, overseeing a high-performing fundraising program that supports student affordability, biomedical research, One Health and public health initiatives, and clinical care.

Matt holds a BFA from Washington University in St. Louis and completed a postgraduate residency at University College London’s Slade School of Fine Art. His life has been shaped by immersive experiences at institutions such as the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture, P.S.1/MOMA, and the Getty Leadership Institute.

Matt lives in Ithaca, NY, with his wife, Nancy, and near their two tradeswomen daughters.
