Leo grew up in southern New Jersey and, after completing an undergraduate degree in architecture at the Savannah College of Art and Design, pursued carpentry and timber framing beginning with an apprenticeship at the Heartwood School. His experience in precise crafts started with several years of building surfboards and continued through college with courses in furniture design and fabrication. Timber framing is a holistic blend of Leo’s passions between architecture, design, fine craftsmanship, and use of local materials. When he’s not in the shop he can be found playing the piano or bass guitar, enjoying the various swimming holes of Corinth, Vermont, or snowboarding with family and friends.
