Intro to Finish Plastering
Sourcing, processing, and applying wild clay plaster.
The class will cover the fundamentals of finish clay plaster, including material sourcing, processing, formulation, mixing, and application. The class will be centered around applying a second coat of clay plaster made with Vermont wild clay onto straw panel walls that have already received a base coat. This is an excellent introduction to those looking to build confidence to tackle their own clay plaster projects, especially as a finish for natural wall systems. Ample classroom time and hands-on time offers a solid foundation in the art and science of clay plaster.
