This two-week online workshop explores a range of composting toilet systems as sustainable alternatives to conventional wastewater treatment. You'll learn the fundamentals of humanure composting, compare system types, and examine the benefits and challenges of each. Special focus will be given to urine diversion technologies and methods. Through presentations and discussion, students will gain insight into the history, science, and current practices of the ecological sanitation (eco-san) field, guided by experienced professionals and practitioners.
