Project Development Consultant

Clar Construction specializes in high quality residential renovation and remodeling in Central Vermont. Our client-centered process is built on collaboration, transparency, and excellent communication. 

The Project Development Consultant (PDC) will be responsible for meeting with clients to gain an understanding of their needs relative to the remodeling process.  The PDC will create drawings, materials specifications, accurate project scopes, labor estimates, material takeoffs, and develop cost estimation proposals which include specific details of materials, sub-contractors' scope, in-house labor tasks, and any other related activities.  

The PDC must be proficient in Chief Architect or similar and have a good working knowledge of building materials.  They are not yet expected to be proficient with estimating and will work in conjunction with other team members to achieve the skills and knowledge relative to the estimating part of the job description.  

The core functions of the Project Development Consultant's role are to engage with prospective and current clients in ways consistent with Clar Construction Values,  determine the price for our residential renovations, repairs and construction projects through constructive teamwork, detailed project analysis and effective communication, and to sell and produce remodeling projects at the desired margin for each job.  The Project Development Consultant will also work constantly to uphold our culture, values, and goals.
