Making Home Ownership Work for Folks with Modest Incomes (Fall Speaker Series)
with Sandra Vitzthum, Plainfield Village Expansion Project
Vermont and other states have established robust rental housing and shared equity programs, yet seniors, starters, and many lower-income families want to own their own home. Home ownership can be stable and a great way to build equity. We will discuss the small lot-small home movement, which fits in well with pre-fabricated homes and also do-it-yourself construction.
Fall Speaker Series: Innovative Homes
This talk is presented as part of our Fall 2025 Speaker Series. All talks are free and open to the public, and take place Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8 pm. No registration required, just drop by.
Twice a year, we curate a series of lectures on a design/build theme. This Fall we are tackling part two of our "Innovative Homes" series, this time focusing in on multi-family homes. We'll discuss different ways cities and towns are approaching sustainable housing development and affordability through case studies of unique living spaces.
