After studying Anthropology and Human Development at UCLA, Chris began a building career in the exhibit workshops of the Smithsonian. Wanting to shift preservation focus from artifacts to relationships and ecologies, Chris became an intern at Yestermorrow and earned a Sustainable Design Certificate. Chris moved to Seattle and became a residential design/build remodeler. In Seattle, Chris has worked in cabinet shops, on remodels from foundation through finish, and managed projects as well as several build teams.

Chris believes that skill sharing connects us to our environment and to each other. Each of us can pursue our crafts and interests and through open communication and practicing interdependence, we can knit a resilient community.
