The Pine Cabin

16' x 11'6"

This small but mighty 180 square foot building is a blank canvas for your backyard studio, office, or ADU. With one large window and a 6 lite front door, the space is full of light and airflow. This cabin provides ample space for a full-size bed, a small sitting area, and a compact kitchenette. At the end of the course, we will provide an uninsulated shell. From there, the client can finish their interior to their liking. 

Cabins start at $ 18,000 and include a weather-tight, uninsulated shell with siding, roofing, and windows — ready for you to finish. Any changes to the design would be subject to design fees billable at $75 an hour. 

Site Preparation: Our cabins are built on pressure-treated skids and will withstand many years of ground contact. However, we recommend placing cabins on a 4-6″ gravel base or other foundation. A level gravel base will help facilitate drainage around the site, extending the life of your cabin. It is the client's responsibility to perform the preliminary site work prior to installation.

Delivery: Construction is completed on the Yestermorrow campus. The client is responsible for coordinating and paying for delivery to their site. Yestermorrow staff can help coordinate delivery to your site for an additional fee. 

Permit: The client is responsible for any zoning or building permits that may be required in their municipality. If you are unsure of the building code requirements in your town, please contact your Planning and Zoning Administrator. 

Custom Cabin: We can also do custom cabins for an additional design fee plus the cost of materials. Design time is billed at a rate of $75/hour.
