2019 Semester in Sustainable Design/Build - Goodbye Forever

Written by Sawyer Cunningham -  We’ve worked ourselves into burnout on the building. With no potential of being able to finish the building we have struggled to find a satisfying finish line for the course. With this in mind we have all set out on our own individual or team efforts on smaller projects within the building. We’ve also begun workshopping different skills like plumbing and drywalling in order to get a little experience with things that we wouldn’t have gotten to on the building.

It also snowed for the first time recently. We still got up on scaffolding after that first snow. How is that legal you might ask? I don’t really know. I’m not the law. Google it. Regardless, the bulk of the work we are setting our sites on for the remaining few weeks of the semester are primarily indoors.

The full realization that we have bitten off more than we can chew with this project is a difficult reality to face but the students are making their best attempt at making the most of the last few weeks. This is my last blog post. Bye forever Yestermorrow Blog.
