The Mad River Valley is known for its unique architecture, landscape and artistic culture. Yestermorrow Design/Build School and Valley Arts are pleased to partner in offering a series of Valley Architecture Tours throughout the summer and fall of 2019.

The Innovative Home Tour - June 1, 2019 9am-2pm

Explore 4 different homes of the Valley with the architect and/or homeowner. These homes will demonstrate clever design, cutting edge energy efficiency, creative use of space, unique materials, experimental architecture, quirky built-ins and integration with the landscape. These tours will be led by Britton Rogers.

Warren Garden Tour - July 25, 2019 9am-1pm

Join us for a walking tour of the beautiful gardens in Warren Village followed by lunch in the Village. Led by landscape designers from Broadleaf, it will be an opportunity to learn what plants thrive in these towns, explore outstanding creative spaces and gain landscaping tips.

Treehouse Tour - August 3, 2019 9am-2pm

A far cry from the backyard treehouses of your childhood, this a rare opportunity to climb inside these high flying homes. Each home is thoughtfully designed and built and is sure to impress. These tours will be led by Erik Hegre and Drew Suljak the instructors of the Yestermorrow Treehouse Design & Construction courses. 

Waitsfield Garden Tour - August 15, 2019 9am - 1pm

Join us on a wonderful tour through the Waitsfield area.  We will meet at Yestermorrow  (7865 Main Street, Waitsfield ) at 9am.  Then, climb onboard our comfy coach bus, sit back, and relax as we take you to three impressive gardens. Lunch is included with your ticket and will be enjoyed at Yestermorrow campus.   Please wear appropriate weather gear and shoes for all terrain.

Historic Bridge and Barn Tour - September 21, 2019 9am - 1pm

A rare opportunity for a “behind the scenes” tour of historic barns in the Mad River Valley, many of which have been passed down in the same family for generations.

Tiny House Tour - October 26, 2019 9am - 1pm

Just like conventional homes, tiny homes come is a variety of shapes, sizes, and designs. On this tour, we will see 4 different small or tiny homes on wheels and foundations.

With the exception of the Walking Garden Tour in Warren Village, transportation will be provided. Lunch is included in the ticket price. Be sure to let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.
