Green Preservation

Older homes were typically built with traditional techniques utilizing regionally sourced materials. Finding the balance between preserving historic integrity and improving energy efficiency and comfort can be a challenge in older homes. This class will inform students how to assess current conditions; identify character-defining features to be preserved; evaluate and recommend appropriate alterations of the structure and systems to improve performance, durability and sustainability.

NOTE: This course will run on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm ET for a total of six (6) 2-hour sessions.
