Fine Woodworking: Trestle Tables

In this hands-on woodworking class, students will develop the woodworking skills that can be translated to a variety of projects  building a hardwood trestle table.  The finished table will be 30 inches tall,  38 - 40 inches long and 14 inches deep. Students will work with both machines (tablesaw, router, jointer, thickness planer) and hand tools to construct their table. They will start by building the base of their table using traditional mortise & tenon construction and will learn how to work off a reference edge which is the foundation of fine furniture making. Students will finish their table by making the top. While making the top they will learn about the milling process, gluing up boards and wood movement.

This class is suitable for all levels. If you have prior experience this class will help you refresh & refine your woodworking skills and learn new tricks & techniques. Everyone will leave the class with many new skills and a brand-new table.
