About Tridome Structures:
Tridome Structures is establishing a glulam manufacturing facility, blending traditional timber framing techniques with modern technology like CNC machines and robotics. We specialize in mass timber and dowel-laminated timber (DLT) construction, producing structural components for sustainable, innovative projects. As we work toward ANSI1-91 accreditation, our focus remains on delivering precision-engineered timber structures with an emphasis on environmental sustainability.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced timber framer with deep knowledge of glulam and mass timber construction. This individual will be critical in the setup and daily operations of our new facility, applying timber framing skills to craft structural components while utilizing modern machinery. You will work closely with engineers and designers to ensure precise production and help build a strong foundation for our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:
Execute timber framing work, including the cutting, shaping, and assembly of glulam and timber structures.
Operate and maintain tools and machinery, including CNC machines and robotics, to produce precise timber components.
Read and interpret architectural blueprints and shop drawings to ensure accuracy in construction and assembly.
Assemble components at the facility, ensuring structural integrity and attention to detail in large-scale projects like beams and arches.
Oversee the care and maintenance of equipment, adhering to safety protocols and optimizing machine performance.
Implement sustainable practices, minimizing material waste and maximizing efficiency.
Collaborate with engineers and designers to address production challenges and meet design specifications.
Assist in establishing and optimizing workflows as the facility grows, ensuring quality standards.
Train and mentor junior team members, promoting safety and craftsmanship.
Support the facility’s pursuit of ANSI1-91 accreditation by adhering to industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience in timber framing, with a focus on mass timber or glulam construction, preferred.
Proficiency in traditional timber framing techniques, including the use of advanced machinery for cutting and shaping.
Strong understanding of timber joinery and structural properties, with an ability to work to exacting specifications.
Experience with CNC machinery and the capacity to adapt to modern production methods.
Ability to read and interpret complex architectural drawings and translate them into precise timber components.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and train a team in both traditional and modern techniques.
Commitment to sustainability and efficient material usage.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to the challenges of a startup facility.
Familiarity with industry standards, including ANSI1-91 accreditation processes.
