Design/Build Interns

Learn design, construction, alternative building, and woodworking skills in an internship position. Interns help with campus construction and maintenance projects, assist with coordination of classes and support staff and instructors in the ongoing operations of the school. During their time at Yestermorrow, interns take two weeks of classes taught by top architects, builders, and craftspeople from across the country. In addition, interns serve as assistants in our Certificate Programs and lead the completion of client and campus projects. Experience with design and/or construction is helpful but not required. On-campus housing and meals are provided. We have 3 design/build internships available for 2021. Each intern will have the opportunity to serve in a class support role in one of our Certificate Programs scheduled for summer 2021 (Certificate in Residential Design and ConstructionTiny House Design/Build Certificate, and the Natural Building Certificate).

It is not expected that interns will have advanced carpentry or woodworking skills before arriving. We are unable to be flexible regarding the start and end dates for the internship. We are accepting applicants from across the country but international sponsorship is unavailable. All interns will be expected to follow the Vermont Travel Restrictions before coming to campus. This will likely be the only Design/Build Internship opportunity for 2021.
