Mac Rood will present and explain the process that he and Bobbi went through to create an eight-house affordable housing project on their ten acre parcel in Waitsfield as well as a larger project in Hinesburg. The intent is to highlight both the hurdles and rewards of creating such a project and to hopefully encourage others to consider developing their own projects, be it one house or twenty four.

Mac Rood is a partner in the firm of Bast & Rood Architects. The firm’s practice includes a wide range of commercial, institutional, and residential work. Mac’s background includes ownership of a construction company, manufacturer of composting toilets, and development of four hydroelectric sites in Vermont. He has taught at Yestermorrow since 1980.
