Tinder spent his childhood years in the mountains of Lincoln VT, and then in the farm country of West Addison, Vermont. He studied journalism at Sarah Lawrence College and received a BA in 2022. Since then, he has traveled the world while working as a freelance writer for a variety of magazines. In 2023, Tinder participated in the WWOOF program in Indonesia, where he stayed at an earthship and became deeply immersed in permaculture and sustainable design. These principles have always been important to him, and are what attracted him to Yestermorrow. In his free time Tinder loves to travel, try all types of food, snowboard, and search the wilderness for wildlife.
