Holly Greenleaf
Bio
Holly Greenleaf is an ecological landscape designer and owner of Greenleaf Design, LLC, a small design, build, illustration, and education/outreach business. She specializes in native plantings, green stormwater infrastructure, bioengineering and shoreland restoration, and illustration and other types of landscape visualization. Her work is inspired by local place, patterns, plant communities, and the people that inhabit these spaces with a goal of resilient, supportive, and beautiful landscapes. She aims to create landscapes that benefit soils, water, wildlife, and way of life and help people embrace a more naturalistic and less control-oriented approach.
Holly was born and raised as a farmer and gardener in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. She studied Ecological Landscape Design, Sustainable Horticulture, and Studio Art as an undergraduate and graduate student at the University of Vermont, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Master of Science in Plant and Soil Science. She has been working in the landscape and horticulture industry and practicing landscape design for over a decade. She loves to be involved in all aspects of the design/build process and witness the ever-changing landscape.
