Originally from Buffalo, NY - Go Bills! - Cassidy moved to Vermont amidst a global pandemic with her fiance to pursue her dream of woodworking and building with her hands. Having received a Bachelor’s degree in both Music Business and Music Theory from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, Cassidy eventually found herself working a desk job for a couple of music magazines in Syracuse, NY. Having heard about Yestermorrow from her stepdad, a former student of the school, she decided to take the Intro to Woodshop course, fell in love with the craft and the school, and changed her career path completely from one art form to another. She now works for Vermont Furniture Designs in Winooski, VT and hopes to one day open her own woodshop where she can make a living building old-fashioned wooden toys similar to those her grandfather and great-grandfather used to make.
