Stephen Stuart
Bio
Stephen’s deep dive into building restoration began in earnest in 2001 with the purchase of an 1890/1939 building that consumed 2000 gallons of oil annually. Applying knowledge gained through NESEA seminars, workshops and conferences, that building is now economically conditioned by cold climate air source heat pumps.
Stephen’s work with the Sullivan County Office of Sustainable Energy entails benchmarking the county’s portfolio of buildings and working with the County Building Engineer to bring sustainable energy retrofits on line.
In their off time, you will find Stephen in their garden, with grandchildren, or responding to emergency calls with their fire department or county dive and rescue team.
