ReSOURCE YouthBuild – AmeriCorps Construction Assistant and Community Service Coordinator

ReSOURCE YouthBuild in Barre, Vermont is hiring a Construction Assistant / Community Outreach Coordinator. ReSOURCE is an innovative non-profit dedicated to environmental stewardship, educational training and economic opportunities. ReSOURCE is home to Vermont’s only YouthBuild program, with locations in Barre and Burlington. YouthBuild provides job skills training in the building trades to women and men ages 16-24. In addition to construction skills, YouthBuild students complete their secondary education and practice leadership development.

YouthBuild is looking for a fun, focused, forward-thinking individual who will support staff and students on job sites and service projects throughout central Vermont.

We’re looking for someone who has carpentry skills, values teaching and learning, and enjoys spending time with teenagers. The primary duties of this position are: 1) support YouthBuild’s design/build work and 2) coordinate community service projects for YouthBuild students.
