Yestermorrow offers a variety of financial aid options to make our programs affordable for students.

Free Repeat Policy

Students who graduate from Home Design or Home Design/Build may take the course again, tuition-free. This opportunity is on a space-available basis and does not include materials, food or lodging.

GI Bill ® Eligibility  

Veterans of the U.S. military are eligible to use their GI Bill ® benefits for tuition expenses at Yestermorrow.  Students interested in Certificate programs, Solar Design and Installation or the Permaculture Design Certification can directly apply their VA benefits. VA Benefits can also be used for a portion of the Semester in Design/Build. There are certain attendance and financial policies that apply only to students using the GI Bill ® to attend Yestermorrow. All students are required to furnish a deposit upfront to hold their space in a course which can be refunded upon receipt of funds from the VA. Please call our office for questions regarding the process of applying your VA benefits to Yestermorrow courses at (802) 496-5545 or email [email protected].

Vermont Residents 

Residents of the State of Vermont may be eligible for assistance through the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) Non-Degree Grant Program. Many Yestermorrow students have received generous grants for tuition, materials and books. The application process takes two weeks to a month, and funds are limited. Please contact VSAC in Winooski, VT at (800) 642-3177 or at www.vsac.org

Americorps 

Recipients of an Americorps Education Award can apply those funds toward Yestermorrow course tuition, materials fee, lodging, and meal plan. Recipients must process their award through a Title IV institution. We are able to accept AmeriCorps Educational Awards for any Yestermorrow course through our academic partnership with Sterling College. Students using their AmeriCorp award, earn Continuing Education Units at a rate of $130/per unit. Generally, a weekend course is 1 unit, a one week course is 2 units, and a two week course is 5 units. This fee for CEUs is in addition to the Yestermorrow course tuition, materials fee, lodging, and meal plan, which can be covered by the student's AmeriCorps award.

To use your AmeriCorps Education Award, you will first register online for the desired course and put down the required deposit. The deposit will be refunded to you once Yestermorrow receives payment from AmeriCorps. You will indicate on your registration form that you intend to use an AmeriCorp award and we will contact you when we've processed your registration through Sterling.

529 COLLEGE SAVINGS PLANS

Students can use a 529 College Savings Plan through our partnership with Sterling College. Students using a 529 plan, earn Continuing Education Units at a rate of $130/per unit. Generally, a weekend course is 1 unit, a one week course is 2 units, and a two week course is 5 units. This fee for CEUs is in addition to the Yestermorrow course tuition, materials fee, lodging, and meal plan. Please contact your plan administrator to inquire if meals and lodging can be covered through your 529 plan. 

To use your 529 plan, you will first register online for the desired course and put down the required deposit. The deposit will be refunded to you once Yestermorrow receives payment from your plan. You will indicate on your registration form that you intend to use an 529 and we will contact you when we've processed your registration through Sterling.

STANDBY FOR LOCALS

Residents of the Mad River Valley (Waitsfield, Warren, Moretown and Fayston) are eligible for our Standby for Locals Program. By adding your name to the standby list for a course, you may be eligible for 50% off tuition. Exclusions apply. Click here for more details.
