SketchUp for Woodworkers (Online)

The old adage “measure twice and cut once” has been updated to “build it twice - first virtually, then in reality”.  Using computer-aided design, this new adage can save woodworkers time and money, and make the design process much more enjoyable.

SketchUp is the perfect tool for woodworking designs.  It’s easy to learn, yet powerful enough to handle complex drawings.  So, if you know the basics of SketchUp and want to take your woodworking design skills to the next level, this course is for you.

Students will video-conference with the instructor one night a week for six weeks, covering all tricks and techniques to master woodworking design in SketchUp.  During each interactive session, the instructor will demonstrate new skills, students will present their weekly assignments, and everyone will discuss what they learned.

SketchUp files and instructional videos will be provided with each class, so that students can review the information off-line and work at their own pace.

This online course will meet on the following dates from 7-9pm: September 3, 10, 17, 24, October 1 and 8.
