Furniture Restoration and Seat Weaving

Knowledge and techniques used in traditional furniture restoration around the world will be passed on to students for them to confidently execute projects at home. Students will be allowed to bring in small/medium pieces of furniture to be restored, refinished, and or re-woven. The instructor will demonstrate weaving patterns via multiple materials such as: cane, rush, sea grass, shaker-tape, Danish cord, and leather. Other topics will include upholstery techniques and minimal shop machine use.
