Fine Leatherworking

Introduction course of leather working processes where students will learn skills such as: soaking, stretching, stamping, punching, stitching, riveting, and finishing leather. Each student will design and create templates for something they wish to create. Projects may include anything from bags, sheathes for tools, resoling shoes, jewelry, and many more. Students will be expected to use sharp leather cutting tools and be able to swing a mallet repetitively.
