Carve and Create Your Own Kitchenware

View Syllabus

Imagine the gratification of sitting down for dinner and using kitchenware made with your own two hands. Utilizing traditional European and Japanese carving techniques, students will pick one of the following; a shallow bowl, pair of salad tongs, or a deep spoon to create during the first day. On day two, each student will learn how to properly create a medium size cutting board using shop machines. Last but not least, we will complete the course with applications of food-safe finishes for both new and older kitchen items.
