Safety Coordinator

Position Summary
The Safety Coordinator (SC), in conjunction with the Safety Committee, is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of all health and safety functions at all Bensonwood facilities and locations. This position is expected to be the primary conduit for promoting a healthy and safe workplace. The SC is responsible for ensuring that the company’s safety protocols comply with and/or exceed the regulations as set by state and federal agencies and our Trust’s guidelines. The SC will also be responsible for reporting within the company on safety programs and results.

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
● Knowledgeable in industry specific methods, procedures, and practices with ability to develop appropriate protocols aligned with OSHA guidelines and regulations related to lockout/tagout, electrical, ergonomic, industrial hygiene, monitoring, personal protective equipment, hazard communication, and related health, safety, and environmental programs
● Capable of developing and implementing site specific safety plans and hazard analysis
● Ability to perform field observations and complete safety audits
● Maintain safety documentation
● Lead investigations into accidents and incidents
● Take a leading role in the development and implementation of safety-related orientations, tool box talks, safety meetings, and general safety training material
● Maintain safety inventory and ensure good working order

● OSHA certified
