Job Summary: The primary role of this position targets student recruitment through marketing and outreach as well as conceives of and executes donor outreach and communication. This position leads Yestermorrow’s marketing efforts, including digital marketing, events, print, and advertisements. The main function of this position is to manage the outward, public face of the institution to recruit students, maintain/increase enrollment and strategize ways to increase development efforts and implement those efforts. This position will increase our reach into the local community and relevant fields across the region.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Marketing:

  • Devise and execute Yestermorrow’s marketing plan, including posts to social media, produce and distribute Yestermorrow’s monthly e-newsletter, advertisements, direct marketing to contacts on Yestermorrow’s mailing list, direct mail campaigns and appeals.
  • Manage the development and production of Yestermorrow’s annual catalog, work with Enrollment and Curriculum team to develop content (writing copy for feature stories and directing photography), and direct Yestermorrow’s graphic designer.
  • Manage Yestermorrow’s web developer, maintain up to date content on Yestermorrow’s course website and social media platforms.
  • Create and distribute content for the Yestermorrow blog.
  • Outreach to local community organizations to collaborate, gain potential clients, recruit students, and organize events.
  • Potential to recruit and manage a Marketing and Events Intern.

 

Events:

Manage, plan, and execute public events for the organization with support from the Student Services Coordinator and the Events and Marketing Intern including the Lecture Series, Home Tours and Tiny House Fest Vermont, as well as fundraising and celebratory events.

 

Development:

  • Support Executive Director and Development Lead in fundraising efforts.
  • Coordinate mailings, social media campaigns and other tasks as needed.
  • Strategize and implement new fundraising campaigns and approaches.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Lead welcome tours and staff the office on weekends (shared with other staff once or twice a month, depending on the season)
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Position Specifications:

  • Experience in communications and publications development.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, personnel management, task prioritization, organizational skills.
  • Hands-on experience with web content management, website administration, social media and digital marketing, and using these for marketing and fundraising campaigns.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite applications, knowledge of Google analytics and Adobe Suite or other graphic design software. Experience with Customer Relations Management (CRM) database preferred.
