Lead Carpenter

Our dynamic and industry-leading company is seeking a Lead Carpenter to join us. We are looking to hire an experienced Lead Carpenter who can ensure the success of our projects during the production stage.

As a Lead Carpenter you will be expected to directly oversee and deliver construction projects ensuring that the project plan, as well as company policies and procedures, are followed. You will be leading the following:

--- Management of production carpentry (frame to finish) ensuring that our daily schedule is maintained and that all work produced on site is done safely, with the highest level of craftsmanship and with maximum efficiency to meet budgeted hours.

--- Jobsite supervision - including mobilization, protection, cleanliness, safety and our field team.
Effective oversight of subcontractors and material deliveries - schedule management in tandem with Site Supervisor and/or Project Manager.

---Quality control and assurance by conforming and executing to contract, subcontract and PO terms.

---Material takeoffs and procurement

---Interaction with clients and helping to ensure their satisfaction

---Warranty management related to your projects

---Permitting

---Performing basic and complex carpentry tasks as well as job-specific operations, as needed.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate the following:
---5+ years of carpentry experience - frame to finish - ideally residential experience included
---Experience managing a crew as well as coordinating with tradespeople
---A dedication to fine details yet an ability to see the big picture
---Solid problem solving and communication skills
---An enthusiasm for craftsmanship
---A positive attitude and a team player
---Ability to run a safe job site
---Own and maintain hand and power tools
---Knowledge of Maine building code (preferred)
---OSHA 10 Hr Certification
---Must have reliable transportation to work sites as far as an hour outside of Portland, ME
