Speaker Series Sept. 25: Nature-Inspired Furniture Design
Mother Nature continues to be a fertile source of inspiration for designers and furniture makers working in today’s digital world. By experimenting with new technologies and sustainable materials, a new crop of resourceful creatives is producing innovative home furnishings that blur the lines between the great outdoors and our interior spaces. In this presentation, Kory Rogers explores a host of topics related to nature-inspired furniture, including biomorphic design, biomimicry, and eco-friendly materials. Kory Rogers is the Chief Curator and Francie and John Downing Curator of American Art at Shelburne Museum, and serves on Yestermorrow's Board of Directors.
