Yestermorrow Course Registrations in Light of COVID-19

COVID-19 Rules, Regulations and Reistrctions

Yestermorrow is following guidelines from the State of Vermont as we consider how we move forward with offering our in-person classes. We are basing our decisions on the current recommendations for leisure travel. As of June 15th 2020, people living in counties in the Northeast that have fewer than 400 cases/million are able to travel without a quarantine (see this map). However, for all other counties, there is a requirement of 14-day quarantine or 7-day quarantine plus a COVID test before coming to campus. Please check this website for the most up-to-date information and refer to your county's statistics online or e-mail [email protected] for the most up to date information on our in-person classes.

 

Yestermorrow is strictly following the Vermont Department of Health and CDC Guidelines for reopening. For your reference, these guidelines are available here. For the purposes of Yestermorrow Design/Build School’s in-person courses, Vermont Department of Health and CDC guidelines that apply to employees or workers, also apply to instructors, students, and any other person associated with a course.

Course Registrations

We’ve received a lot of questions about course cancellations and whether it makes sense to register for a class given the new reality we’re living in. It seems pertinent to share the answers to these questions as well as offer insight into why your continued interest in our classes is so vital for our organizations.

During normal times, we look at course enrollment 3 weeks before the start of a class. If we don't have a minimum number of people signed up to cover costs we cancel the class. Signing up at least a month before helps ensure that the class you’re interested in will run! Now we’re in a new world where cancellation calls aren’t just determined by student enrollment, but also by a global pandemic. As the timeline of this new reality makes itself known, there will likely be more course cancellations. 

If we have to cancel a class that you’re registered for due to COVID we will waive all cancelation fees and you will get a full refund. In case of a cancelation you also have the option to reallocate payments as a credit on your account to be used towards a future class. Doing this helps us as it is essentially an investment in Yestermorrow’s future (and yours!). 

Our Fall 2020 - Spring 2021 course catalog will be published online - all newly scheduled classes are reflected on our website. Take a look at our current course offerings - many are offered online to keep you engaged in the coming months. Any course that is listed on our website is open for registration. If a class catches your eye and fits your schedule, let us know you’re interested by registering with the 20% deposit! Doing so gives you something to look forward to, and also gives Yestermorrow a bit of certainty as we plan for our future.
