Sara Duesterhoeft

Design/Build Intern

Bio

Sara originally hails from Madison, Wisconsin and graduated from UW Madison with a degree in Religious Studies and Education. While at UW, she worked with the international student community, expanding her understanding of global cultures and how to build connections between people from across the globe. After university, she spent time living and traveling in Europe, SE Asia, and throughout the Americas. She completed two terms of service with Americorps, first with Americorps NCCC Southwest where she built houses with Habitat for Humanity and constructed food security gardens, and second in Vermont as the Team Leader for the Vermont Youth Development Corps program.

Yestermorrow has been on her radar for years and she is thrilled to explore her dilettante tendencies as an intern here. Sara loves meeting new people, supporting passions, synergizing, and generally excels at bringing more light, kindness, and humor to the world. She is a natural bridge-builder, forging connections between people, communities, cultures, and the natural world. Sara hopes to expand her knowledge of sustainability and building to further inform her community work.
