Rachel was born and raised in coastal California. She received her degree in Community & Regional Development through the University of California Davis, and in the following years has explored her passions in farming, food business start-ups, and large-scale community event coordination. Rachel is deeply intrigued in the ways that food production, the built environment, and connectivity to outdoor space can improve the resiliency & health of communities. At heart, she is a dreamer, a creator, and an optimistic Jill-of-all-trades. She is a writer and ceramicist, a gardener, fermenter, fiber artist, amateur stonemason and beginning woodworker. In her free time Rachel can be found hiking, cross country skiing, and working on one of her many projects.
