Rachel was born and raised in coastal California. She received her degree in Community & Regional Development through the University of California Davis, and in the following years has explored her passions in farming, food business start-ups, and large-scale community event coordination. Rachel is deeply intrigued in the ways that food production, the built environment, and connectivity to outdoor space can improve the resiliency & health of communities. At heart, she is a dreamer, a creator, and an optimistic Jill-of-all-trades. On any given day, she could be found foraging, making herbal medicines, weaving, writing, and exploring deep in the forest. Rachel currently serves on the board of ShareMRV, a mutual aid organization addressing food security in the Mad River Valley.
