Originally from Salt Lake City, UT, Madeline left her hometown to find a more fulfilling calling in an experimental architecture community in the high desert of Arizona. She was quickly drawn to the wood shop and the hands on nature of the space. After spending some time remodeling interiors and building cabinets, Madi decided to move onto another material; Clay. She was working as a ceramicist, casting in the earth to make one of a kind pieces of art. After taking a two-week Natural Building workshop she quickly realized she missed the feeling of accomplishment that comes with working on a larger scale. She was always drawn to the mountains and trees, so after her time in the desert she decided to move to Vermont. She hopes to further her knowledge of design and build to learn how the environment can affect the way we create, while taking in the beautiful scenery of the Mad River Valley.
