Bio

David Tremblay, studied entomology at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst where he received a BS in Plant and Soil Science in 1987. Prior to taking on the role of State Apiarist in 2016, David worked with the Vermont Agency of Agriculture and US EPA in pesticide law enforcement for 27 years. His bio continues: “David is a Justice of the Peace, a volunteer EMT and long-time backyard beekeeper. He is an ultra-endurance athlete and has competed in Paris-Brest-Paris, The Canadian Ski Marathon, and The Tour Divide but now spends his time in search of Vermont’s last rusty patched bumble bee.
