Deconstruction and Material Re-use

This Master Deconstructor Program is designed to enable the mobilization of community resources to conserve built environments. The program will develop skills for community-based reclamation and reuse/recycling of building material resources. The curriculum will provide an overview of deconstruction processes and the role of deconstruction in a community. The course combines classroom instruction, group discussion, individual and group scenario exercises, and experiential learning at deconstruction sites. This course is designed for individuals interested in learning how to salvage building materials safely and effectively, as well as for those who want to set up a whole-house deconstruction project for fun or profit. All Levels.
