For students looking for a comprehensive educational experience in the areas of sustainable design and construction methodologies and/or natural building techniques, Yestermorrow Design/Build School's two Certificate Programs, the Certificate in Sustainable Building and Design and the Natural Building Certificate, offer intensive, in-depth, hands-on opportunities for deepening understanding, acquiring functional skill sets, and widening career opportunities.

The Certificate in Sustainable Building and Design and the Natural Building Certificate are offered under the authority of the Yestermorrow Design/Build School. With 28 years of experience teaching classes focusing on the sustainable design/build process, Yestermorrow has earned a great degree of national credibility and respect.  The school is accredited as an educational institution by the State of Vermont, is an affiliate member of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, and is a Continuing Education Provider for the American Institute of Architects.  Yestermorrow also was the proud recipient of the 2004 American Institute of Architects' Vermont Chapter Service Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Public Understanding of Architecture and its Role in Our Environment.  Most courses in the Certificate programs are approved for Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) continuing education learning units (LUs) for architectural registration requirements. Some Certificate Program courses are also available for credit through the University of Vermont. Please call for a current listing of offerings.

Registration is simple. Just call our office at 802-496-5545. We'll need basic contact information and a $1000 deposit (at minimum) to secure your place in either program. We'll also discuss lodging and meal options with you when you call (at additional cost).
